In New Orleans we sought out a more local scene, away from where the tourists roam. Bill found a place called the Maple Leaf, that had live music and a unique atmosphere. In the 70’s the location used to be a hangout for poets and beatnicks. In fact one of the poets remains is burried out back in the area with the eerie purple lighting. Here’s some video of Mike Dillon’s Hairy Apes BMX who peformed at the Maple Leaf.
